Calista is hosting today! with Darcey as morning producer. They talk about the film "The Gleaners and I" directed by Agnes Varda, a documentary that is simple and sweet, and explores the practice of gleaning.
STANDOUT MOMENT:
Calista's standout moment was when Agnes Varda was interviewing the man who lived in the caravan. She was interested in hearing his reasons behind gleaning and why is was living in this community.
Darcey's standout moment was all of the little scenes Agnes films of herself, ie the greying hair or hands. These little moments tie her into the documentary and make it feel personal. It's always interesting when a director is in their film, and she really appreciated it in this movie.
