Producer Louisa has brought in some interesting headlines and stories she's seen this week. On this weeks agenda:
1. Triple J's new rotation strategy - data has shown that Triple J has nearly double the plays of their high rotation singles in an effort to support Australian music. But will this strategy actually work, or will it be at the expanse of smaller artists?
2. A cafe owner cancelled in 2020 for homophobic and pro-Trump statements is opening a NEW (?) cafe in Newtown, at the address previously hosted by Khamsa Eatery. INTERESTING
3. VIVID Sydney has just unveiled their 2025 program and as usual, the music lineup is STACKED. What you may not have heard about are the v e r y expensive food experiences, including $350 for a three course dinner hosted by Nigella Lawson.

Our new Independent Artist of the Week is... Warm Currency!
Warm Currency are a Sydney-Melbourne duo made up of musicians, artist and friends MP Hopkins and Mary MacDougall. Together they make haunting folk music, incorporating fingerpicked guitars, spoken word and poems, and textural soundscapes of radio static, wind and more. They released their third album as a duo ‘Petals’ late last year and joined Luke M de Silva on Surfacing a couple days ago to talk all about it.
