Sabine and Darcey discuss "Honeyland" directed by Tamara Kotevska and Ljubomir Stefanov, which we both found so moving and incredible. The documentary feels almost like fiction and deserves the immense amount of praise and recognition it has gained. This is our second film of July, where we are focusing on Women Directors.
STANDOUT MOMENT
Sabine's standout moment was when the youngest child of the neighbors gets stung on the face by a bee. It's in moments like these where you find yourself wanting to interfere with the documentary, but are also just so poignant that it sticks with you after watching,
Darcey's standout moment was when the 8 year old neighbor helps a cow give birth. It such a foreign thing to see on a screen, yet it is done so casually. This movie is filled with subtle moments that leave long-lasting impressions on you.
