Yes yes people, this week we're back in the studio with Max Cherry & Jane Decks, ahead of Dayshift 8.0 at the Sydney Portugal Community Club tomorrow.
Jane Decks is a Sydney-based DJ and promoter whose sound sits at the intersection of house, techno, garage and breakbeat — always deep, groove-forward, left-field and rhythmically rich with heavy basslines, percussive rollers, footwork, and hypnotic late-night techno.
She has played and promoted at some of Sydney’s most respected venues, including Chinese Laundry and The Abercrombie, and has recently supported respected underground selectors such as Skeptic, SILLYBITCHESDIE, Samurai Breaks, Mincy, AU4R33Y, IN2STELLAR, and Bouki.
Jane is the founder of Bunny & Friends, a boutique party series dedicated to left-field house, genre-diverse lineups, and fostering inclusive, intimate dancefloor experiences.
Max Cherry is a selector who knows no boundaries.
Moving seamlessly between UKG, breaks, jungle, techno, house and beyond, she thrives on creating intentional flows that surprise as much as they satisfy.
Whether she’s warming up the night with shimmering house cuts, tearing through breaks and jungle at peak time, or closing with heady techno and garage tracks.
Since stepping onto the scene, Max has played iconic Eora venues like Chinese Laundry, The Abercrombie, Glass Island and Bar Fredas, supporting artists including Conducta, Killjoy, YesBoone & Charlie Shell.
