Aquenta is an Afro-Caribbean crip DJ, interdisciplinary artist and curator, currently living on unceded Wurundjeri Country.
Her sound is genre-blending and her taste wide-ranging: she starts from her Dominican roots, and traverses all over from there. Expect bouyon, footwork, rap, afro-diasporic club sounds, R&B and everything in between.
She has played an array of international and local festivals, including PXSSY PALACE (UK), Soft Centre (Eora), Afro-Caribbean Carnival (Naarm), Dayshift (Eora) and Rave Relief (Boorloo).
Aquenta is also the founder of CRIP RAVE THEORY, a project that draws on crip/disabled knowledge to expand sound and club culture.
