Surfacing is dedicated to experimental and outsider songwriters and composers exploring interesting musical territories.

Tonight we're joined by one of my favourite groups of recent years, Jabu (UK), and we'll chat about the making of their beautiful album A Soft and Gatherable Star, the benefits of not mastering their instruments, fancy venues and running their Do You Have Peace? record label.

And for the rest of tonight’s show, we’re going to hear music on the theme of daybreak. Yes, daylight savings has ended, your mornings are looking brighter, and this theme is also inspired a lyric from Jabu's song, Oceanside Spider House.
