@lukemdezilva <- for submissions and 👋

Surfacing is dedicated to experimental and outsider songwriters and composers exploring interesting musical territories.

Tonight's playlist theme is 'webbed'. The theme came after seeing the most insanely beautiful spider web at a house just near mine, maybe 1.5m wide with rain drops all over it. It was strung across the walkway of what looked like an abandoned brick home, but there was a light on inside at the back which you could see through the coloured glazed window on the front door. I hadn’t seen a web in full form that size up close before. And from that I thought to make a playlist based on music with multiple parts but none of them the same, ntricate but sprawling, and amongst the mesh of seemingly randomness, formless parts form something interesting, unique and whole.
