Tonight I’m extremely pleased to have a guest mix from one of the most played artists on this show, one of my all-time favourite musicians, Liam Andrews, the Berlin-based Australian musician who you’ll know from his Australian band MY DISCO. He’s also the bassist for Canadian experimental drone metal band BIG|BRAVE, he releases solo music under the aliases AICHER and Ferenc Deszö, he has another Europe-based group named Eros and also SPILLINGS which is based between Europe and Canada. The main thing I want to get across is that if you’re familiar with this show, you’ll have heard all of these projects played on it – all very different but with strong through-lines, being Liam’s unique approach to the bass and noise, and creating intense, sometimes challenging but also beautiful sounds.
I'll also play just a small representation of tracks from Liam's vast body of work.
