Surfacing is dedicated to experimental and outsider songwriters and composers exploring interesting musical territories.

‘Take flight’ is tonight's playlist theme. I’ve somewhat spontaneously booked an overseas trip to go see a few really amazing shows and concerts, and what I’m doing tonight is starting my plane playlist. But beyond that, thinking about what it feels like, sounds like, the good and bad of flights – the heavy ambience of it. I'll play melodic songs with deep bass-y/noisey rumblings underneath it, some distortion, and of course songs that really soar away.
