I’ve just returned from Europe, I was really lucky to be there for a research trip seeing some really special music and sound-based works. And because of that, tonight’s playlist theme is Clinamen, taken from the title of the French artist Celeste Boursier-Mougenot’s newest major installation in Paris at Bourse de Commerce, one of my favourite installations and sound works.
Clinamen is also a scientific and philosophical term, somewhat about unpredictable motions and the chance encounters they create. So everything tonight will relate to that, including a special airing on tonight's show of the beautiful accompanying music for Klára Hosnedlová's installation 'embrace' at Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, composed by Billy J. Bultheel and featuring Lada and Yzomandias. Thank you to the artists for providing the recording.
