Our voices are the geography. When colonial powers tried to put up borders, resist us through apartheid laws, turn people into coordinates, take away our land and try to erase our identity, music resisted and was the way people were able to not forget themselves and their identity. It became a navigation system and memorial archive.

Attu Ngor takes us through her homeland of South Sudan and transmutations from across the continent.

Sonics to expand spatial imagination. Across the summer, we hear from DJs in the fbi family exploring the theme of Counter Cartographies - a sonic exploration collapsing colonial confines, inspired by the work of liberation geographer Saki Savavi.
