These songs are often mournful, devotional, and reflecting lives lived on water—marked by longing, labour, and spiritual contemplation.

Galiba takes us through her homeland of Bangladesh, rivers of song and kin.

Sonics to expand spatial imagination. Across the summer, we hear from DJs in the fbi family exploring the theme of Counter Cartographies - a sonic exploration collapsing colonial confines, inspired by the work of liberation geographer Saki Savavi.

Artwork by Sehej Kaur Sehmbhi, photo provided by artist. Series concept and gathered by Shareeka Helaluddin, with assistance from Samantha Haran.
