Today on the show we’re joined with freelance artist, theatre maker, director, and self appointed jester - Nicole Pingon! The Chinese-Australian creative has a full resumé, directing Moon Rabbit Rising, co-directed the new-Australian opera Chop Chef and assistant directing at Sydney Theatre Company and Belvoir just to name a few.
‘werkaholics’ - their newest work is a 21st century absurdist take on capitalist cancel culture and the digital age. Presented by Purple Tape Productions and Empty Seat Productions, it is currently showing at Belvoir's Downstairs Theatre until the 17th of August.

PRODUCER NOTE: Nicole would also like to pick the amazing Clarice Lispector in her dream artist workshop hehe <3
This episode was produced and edited by Nick Hibbs. Out of the Box is recorded at the fbi station in Redfern, which is on unceded Gadigal Land. We pay our respects to Gadigal elders past and present and recognise the ongoing colonial violence committed across this country. Wherever you’re tuning in from in so-called Sydney, the land always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
