No Going Home / Race Matters & All the Best

In the style of the Aboriginal flag, a yellow half circle sits against a black background. A slither of red ground sits on the bottom of the image. Two silhouetted figures stand against the yellow circle. The left figure holds a spear, the right figure is taller, wearing a brimmed hat and with a gun slung across their back.

Superstitions abound, fear incited, where do you go where there’s nowhere left to turn?

A content note for any First Nations peoples listening in - the story of No Going Home contains discussions and depictions of mass murder and genocide. We ask that you go gently and please tune in and out as you need, the full show notes and archive will be available online for you.

Our story today reckons with these questions, as we follow Dundali, someone who has staunchly resisting settler invasion as settlers encroach ever further inland. Attempting to save his people and the spirit of his nephew. No Going Home is a journey through space and time from the present day to early colonial Australia, where there is conflict between honouring the ancestors and meeting the challenge of protecting and keeping a family together.
