MSG4000: TEI TEI (JPN)

Tonight we have a long waited guest from Tokyo, TEI TEI. Founder of Denki Bodhisattva (電気菩薩), one of the well known underground raves we got to attend and meet her.

Born in Beijing, China, TEI TEI moved to Tokyo to study fashion, where she discovered a new sense of creative freedom and began her journey as a DJ, developing a sound rooted in hypnotic and dark techno.

She later founded her own party, Denki Bodhisattva, while steadily building her presence across clubs and underground spaces throughout Japan. In 2024, the OPEN AIR event she organized during Golden Week gained significant attention and was featured by media outlets including J-WAVE.

As a DJ, TEI TEI has performed across Japan, from underground parties to major festivals, including an appearance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2024.

Her activities continue to expand across Asia.

Rooted in a forward-thinking and deeply immersive musical approach, her expression carries a distinct identity—like a water lily illuminated by moonlight, opening new dimensions of consciousness on the dance floor.
