MSG4000: Parasol

Parasol is a Gadigal-based “ambient” trance producer whose work explores all things wistful, cathartic and emotionally overwhelming. His music is the sound of both grief and manic joy, hand in unloveable hand - running forward, looking back.

In 2021, he released his debut mixtape 1800-PARASOL, a collection of beatless trance sketches inspired by ringtone music. As a DJ, his sets are punctuated by a signature glittery, arpeggiated chaos.

Now, he is on the cusp of releasing a second, expansive full-length album, due in late 2025 on a cult-favourite US label. This new work sees his sonic palette moving beyond traditional trance and supersaws, deepening into more organic, reedy, and orchestral textures.
