The feature story for today’s episode of Tuesday Mornings was an interview with Izabella Louk and Dominique Purdue, the co-producer/actress and director behind a new play launching this Friday at KXT on Broadway: 3 Billion Seconds. The play was produced by Blinking Light, Louk's theatre company dedicated to climate activism in the arts in partnership with bAKEHOUSE Theatre Co.
3 Billion Seconds is a come-dramedy about a pair of militant climate activists, Daisy and Micheal - who discover that they are expecting their first child and choose to embark on a seemingly absurd mission to offset their baby’s potential carbon footprint and reach a net zero existence.
In the second hour, Zara recounts her experience at Sydney Comedy Festival’s opening night preview, and shares conversations that she had with the festival's general manager James Declase and comics Abby Govindan and Julia Wilson. Sydney Comedy Festival is on from Monday the 13th of April until Sunday the 17th of May.
