In this episode of Mi Gente, My People, Maz is joined by Brazilian multidisciplinary artist Nandara—dancer, choreographer, model, and actress, and co-founder of the first-ever Brazilian Cultural Centre in so-called Australia.
We explored her journey from Brazil to Gadigal land, her practice of Afro-Brazilian movement, and the creation of Darua Lab and the Brazilian Cultural Centre as a space for cultural expression and community building. The conversation also dives into the importance of diaspora, identity, and the role of art in connecting people across cultures.
