MALAM is a Sydney-based instrumental trio formed in 2025 with Arturo Escudero on bass, Bruno Yagüe on guitar and Juan Mulet on drums/percussion. The project is built around rhythm, repetition and collective movement, drawing from Latin American dance traditions, cumbia, folkloric grooves and psych rock textures. The band has performed at several venues around Sydney, including Ramblin Rascal, Oxford art factory, Razz Room and Pleasure Club etc, and they’ll have their first Festival appearance at the LoveFest on the Central Coast in November.
