Vanessa is joined in the studio by Nicolas Mendoza, who brings a selection of tracks that make part of his story so far.
Nicolas Mendoza is a Sydney-based audio engineer and producer originally from Colombia, who moved to Australia to finish his studies and build a career in music. Starting from the ground up, he earned his place at Studios 301 — one of Australia’s most respected studios —where he worked his way from intern to lead engineer, developing his skills through hands-on, high-level studio training.
Over the years, he’s worked with artists including PANIA, Boy Soda, and Lamira, as well as international acts like Mike Shinoda, alongside a range of other artists through his time at 301. He’s remained closely connected to developing artists throughout his career, regularly working within Sydney’s music community and supporting emerging talent through sessions, writing camps, and independent projects. Now collaborating with Warner Music Australia, Nicolas continues to focus on delivering high-quality records across R&B, pop, and Latin music.
In 2025, he was part of an ARIA Award–winning project for Best R&B Release, becoming thefirst Latino audio engineer to be recognised with an ARIA — a milestone that reflects his journey and contribution to the Australian music scene.
