Modal Focus - Tezeta
The Tezeta scale is a set of musical scales originating from Ethiopia, most commonly associated with the Amharic word for "nostalgia" or "longing". It is one of the five principal modes in the Ethiopian modal system, known as Qenet. The most well-known versions are the Tezeta Major and Tezeta Minor scales. Structure: A pentatonic (five-note) scale.
