Alrighty hehe NOW...I'm so honoured to say that I had the legendary Nigerian musician that is Seun Kuti in studio ahead of his Vivid performance at Tumbalong Park! As the son of Nigerian Afrobeats pioneer Fela Kuti, Seun stepped into the role of leading Egypt 80 at just 14 years old, and has spent years carving out his own voice within that legacy. His music carries the DNA of Afrobeat, the rhythm, the urgency, the resistance, but it also speaks directly to the present moment, tackling power, inequality, and the role of the artist in all of it.
He’ll be performing on the 6th of June, two days from now at Tumbalong park from 6pm. It's completely free and a necessity to be at!
