GIGTEA INTERVIEW
Finding a good gig in Sydney should be pretty easy, but with artists, venues and promoters all sharing information across different platforms, it can sometimes feel like you have to really go looking for what’s happening.
That’s the problem Yossif Kay is trying to solve with GigTea, a new live music discovery platform bringing artists, gigs and audiences together in one place. It’s designed to make discovering what’s on around you feel more like scrolling through a social platform, but with the end goal of actually getting you out to a gig.
Yossif joined me in the studio to talk about where the idea came from, how GigTea works, and what he thinks needs to change about the way we discover live music.
