Starting from the top we heard Pinike Pinake by Prithviraaj & Drippy999, then Mulga Bore Hard Rock by Big Train, and right above us there we had "Pressure Becomes Me" from Sydney’s very own Yasmina Sadiki. There are some artists whose music feels carefully constructed, and then there are artists like Yasmina Sadiki: whose work feels lived in, emotionally exact, and alive in the moment. She has been steadily carving out a singular space where alt-jazz, neo-soul, improvisation and storytelling meet, and in the process, she’s become one of the city’s most compelling voices. This year, she was recognised with FBI Radio’s 2026 SMAC Award for Song of the Year for “Pressure Becomes Me,” a song that already felt like a statement of intent — intimate, expansive, and deeply affecting. And now she returns with “Craving,” the stunning lead single from her upcoming debut EP, Made for the past. We’re lucky enough to be premiering it today, ahead of its official release tomorrow.
