Philo-ksenia, refers to the Greek tradition of hospitality - As thousands of Palestinian refugees arrive in Australia while their homeland is devastated, many face the challenge of finding a sense of belonging here. In Melbourne, Kon Karapanagiotidis, founder of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, is hosting Philoxenia - a community lunch for 250 Palestinian refugees from Gaza, offering food, solidarity, and welcome in a time of displacement. Kon joins producer Gabriella Accaria to talk about the initiative.

This past Monday, the government officially announced the revised First Home Buyers Grant would require hopeful bidders to only need a 5% deposit to purchase a property. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese hopes this assists young people in purchasing their first homes sooner. Producer Elise Papaioannou spoke to young Australians currently trying to purchase their first homes to see what they think about the scheme.
