emo, cloud bs and other things
Featuring an interview with Cameron Picton ahead of the release of his new album/project: My New Band Believe.
It was 8am in London and 7pm in Sydney when, with medicinal-strength coffee in hand, the ex-black midi bassist and vocalist talked with Pat about Steve Noble, string instruments, and visiting fans’ apartments in New York to preview the album.
On My New Band Believe, Picton trades distortion for acoustic maximalism, creating an endearing and expansive record driven by a reverence for pop songwriting (and featuring most of the band Caroline). The interview is from @1:20:57.
