We Stand at a Crossroads

For years, fbi.radio has been Sydney's youth culture heartbeat – broadcasting diverse voices, underground sounds, and local stories that commercial media ignores. Our passionate volunteers give their time freely, but keeping the frequency strong costs real money.

Studio rent. Broadcast licensing. Music rights. Equipment. Utilities.

These aren't luxuries. They're the foundation that enables everything you hear on fbi.

The Reality We Face

As Australian media outlets consolidate and operational costs rise, volunteer-run community radio faces mounting pressure. Independent media matters more than ever – but it can't survive on passion alone.

This October 23rd, we're asking YOU to stand with us.

What We're Fighting For

Local Voices – Diverse community platforms for stories commercial radio won't tell
Cultural Connection – Spaces for local music, multicultural programming, and authentic dialogue
Youth-Run Media – Protecting independent platforms driven by emerging voices
Community Infrastructure – Accessible media partnerships supporting Sydney's creative economy
Volunteer Empowerment – Sustainable foundations so volunteers create and learn

AusArt Day: Thursday, 23 October 2025

Join communities across Australia supporting the arts that matter locally. Creative Australia's inaugural National Giving Day to the Arts is our moment to secure fbi's future.

Your Support Makes It Possible

Your donation funds the essentials like studio rent, broadcast licensing, and operational costs that keep fbi on air. By supporting our infrastructure, you're protecting youth-run independent media in Sydney for years to come.

One day. One community. One frequency worth fighting for.
