A dynamic and people-centred role bringing together fundraising strategy, donor relationships, events and storytelling. You’ll work across the station to grow meaningful support for fbi.radio, championing the impact of community broadcasting while building sustainable revenue through philanthropy, partnerships and memberships.

We’re looking for an organised and motivated fundraiser who understands the power of communuity and culture to bring people together. Someone who’s excited to nurture supporter relationships, experiment with creative fundraising ideas, and collaborate closely with teams across programming, digital, and partnerships.

This is a 12-month parental leave cover, offering part-time employment through to April 2027.

Location
Alexandria, with flexibility to work from home. Some after-hours events and meetings may be required.

Contract Type and Terms
Fixed-term contract 3 days a week for 12 months (parental leave cover), through to April 2027.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising & Donor Engagement

Develop and deliver fundraising initiatives and campaigns across memberships, donations, partnerships and events. Build, manage and nurture relationships with donors, sponsors and community partners, while identifying and cultivating new supporter opportunities.

Events & Campaign Delivery

Plan and coordinate fundraising events in collaboration with the Partnerships team, overseeing budgets, logistics, delivery and post-event reporting with support from the Managing Director.

Supporter Communications

Provide regular and meaningful updates on how donations are used, creating thoughtful recognition and engagement opportunities that deepen supporter connection to fbi.radio’s impact.

Digital & Audience Collaboration

Work closely with the Digital & Content team to leverage social media and newsletters to promote campaigns, events and supporter initiatives.

Systems, Data & Membership

Oversee membership and donation billing through CMS and payment gateways. Manage, maintain and report on the Profiler CMS, including trend analysis and supporter insights.

Volunteer Support

Develop and oversee a volunteer membership support team, fostering a positive, welcoming and community-led experience for supporters.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

· Experience in relationship management, fundraising or sales (nonprofit or community media preferred)
· Proven ability to achieve results through relationship-building and tailored engagement
· Strong CRM skills with attention to accurate record-keeping and reporting
· Confidence using data and insights to drive engagement and meet fundraising targets
· Highly organised, with strong time-management and multitasking skills
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Genuine interest in making an impact across diverse communities
· Passion for media, youth markets and Sydney’s music, arts and culture

Desirable

· Experience working in community broadcasting or arts organisations
· Familiarity with digital fundraising, memberships or donor journeys
· Experience supporting or coordinating volunteers
