Sevilles

Sevilles are a three-piece folk/alt-rock band creating on Gadigal country and turning ears every time they play.

With limited releases online, their sound is carried through word of mouth and hangs in the air like a fog you really don’t want to dissipate.

Primarily an acoustic act, Sevilles blend elements of folk and post-punk into a surreal sound held together by divine melodies reverberating until the hairs on your arms stand up.

Sevilles embraces the growing D.I.Y scene in Sydney and it filters into their sound; a homely and warm feeling of hope stretched between the future and the past. Their most recent songs were recorded in a stairwell and the delicate echo dances with angelic voices in slow ascension. You can listen to the recordings here: (Saturday Lunch with Ella Avni).

Sevilles exhibit a humble spirit attached to a genuine connection between bandmates and it really shows in their music. You can hear the chemistry in each chord and laughter behind each lick infectiously bringing audiences back time and time again. Sevilles are something to look forward to and cherish like a flicker of light in a dark room.
