S.C.U.M

Society of Cutting Up Men (S.C.U.M) is a bad omen of primordial darkness. She has lost her way and ended up in this so-called dimension.

S.C.U.M forges her own space through audio assault, piercing sonic frequencies, and abhorrent noise. An ode to magic in all its forms: women, rage, movies, community and collaboration, S.C.U.M uses industrial materials to inflict pain upon her audience. And piss people off.

Probably the busiest noise artist in the city (having played an astronomical 25 shows in the last year), S.C.U.M’s shows are extremely cathartic. Loud, texturally rich walls of noise hit you in your whole body and scratch your brain in just the right way, while spoken sampling cuts through the wall.

S.C.U.M is not vague in expressing her ideology through sound, being an unquestionably staunch misandrist and radical project. Locally, it acts as quite a beacon in the harsh noise scene, which has historically been littered with fascist and misogynistic projects. Basically, she is super based.★
