ELINA

Crash landing on an asteroid from the planet Venus, the bass princess herself reverberates the seismic activity of her home planet Venus.

ELINA sets forth with one mission only – to cover the rave scene in a shroud of pink and glitter.

“I was lost in a dark place for most of my life - I felt like I was saved by the planet Venus”

ELINA’s roots as a bassist are quite evident, her music’s low-end usually nothing short of earth-shattering and apocalyptic. After this un-natural disaster, a utopia is born: a matriarchy where any tracks under 170 bpm are forbidden, and fairycore is the national uniform. Inspired by artists like Donatachi, Dorian Electra, and Ninajirachi, ELINA’s music is played in dark basements and the stratosphere alike.

“I play bass in punk bands – I’m not all that good at it”

RERYPNED, the new remix album from ELINA, reworks three tracks from Cherry Rype. Injury – ELINA remix’, originally featuring lo-fi club production by Sydney producer emjaysoul, is flipped on its head and coated in Wizz Fizz. Synths screech throughout, enchanting listeners to rave. ‘Eternal Flame – ELINA Remix’ slows down and wraps up the party, showcasing the lengths of her ethereal ethos.

Her upcoming unreleased album, elinacore_V1, is described as a potent distillation of the artist’s signature crystalline bounce. ‘like ever’ is ELINA’s take on jersey club, bouncy and squeaky. ‘on top of the world’ is a grown-up version of the signature Swedish bubblegum dance anthem ‘Caramelldansen’ by Caramell. The IDM-tinged ‘sigilised circuitry’ squelches, bubbles, and thumps, sounding like a motherboard taking a spa day.

Why pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a ticket to space? ELINA will transport you to a new planet carved out of pink clay and computer parts.
