BABY OSAMAA
ON THA RUN

Baby Osamaa crouched and staring at the screen. The photo is taken in a studio with a vignette of black placed in the corners of the image. The photo is coloured black and white with the words "baby osamaa" written in black and the title of the album 'on tha run' placed just below. the text sits above the sole figure crouching.

"With every sharp hook that is built under a foundation of bulldozing 808s you get addictive and seductive tankgirl, you get BABY OSAMAA."

The Bronx titan magnetises the world around her. With every sharp hook that is built under a foundation of bulldozing 808s you get addictive and seductive tankgirl, you get BABY OSAMAA. The rig of the 808s leaves your skull shaking while you glide down highways, tunnels and bridges in your top down. The flows of queer sentiments and the underground rockstar life turns your trusty Toyota into the one night stand, convertible of your dreams.

BABY OSAMAA presents us with, ON THA RUN, an album steeped in drums, jazzy brass and 2000s pop engravings, colloquialised in her didactic Soundcloud trap/rap sound. Made during the run of her life, touring across the US and touching down in Florida over the past few weeks, she finally gives the people some of her most anticipated material.

The project shifts gears, starting at 166km/h (bpm) on ‘6 FIGURE’ and slows down to drift corners on the vulnerable, proud and raw ‘COUCH SURFER’ and ‘MS.WATUMACALIT’. Glitzed in her resonant autotune OSAMAA thumps and flashbacks on the early 2000s pop inspired, ‘THE LAST DANCE’. The subwoofers in the back seat reverberate the car at the stop light. The top is still down and the breeze cools the adrenaline rush from the tracks prior. The Miami streets are lit green for you. The car cruises along the coastline and the hydraulics kick into the baseline on ‘MIAMI ZOES’. The guitar sampled licks are streamlined and slide down the car like your chrome exhausts.

As the sun sets, the purple sky and the amber street lamps set a blaze. ‘PAPARAZZI’ starts and the hats hit like a flock of paparazzi flash reflecting on your chrome spinners. The neon underglows burn a fluorescent purple as ‘ASHTON’ sears your speakers at its max volume. The freeway is in your sights and the sign back to NYC says 1297 miles. BABY OSAMAA is your key home, she is your companion. She is the people’s rock star. She shows us the finer things in life when the world is seemingly crushing. She is your favourite rapper's favourite rapper. She is a household name. She is the girls and dolls anthemic figurehead. She is framed upon your mothers mantle piece.

She is BABY OSAMAA and in BABY OSAMAA we trust!

TANKMAFIA!!!
